Today, Aaliyahâs birthday we found out that her Dad (Michael Haughton) had died late last year. He was buried with Aaliyah. Her family has gone through so much trauma. I wish her mother Diane Haughton & her brother Rashad Haughton all the happiness in the world. They deserve it.

Thinking ahead and anticipating needs. Being supportive and being concerned. It’s a symbiotic relationship in the profession of love.
My Heart and my Pride are enemies
and the war is far from over
My heart rests comfortably on my sleeve,
My pride wants me to be colder
The heart is optimistic, believes in love & good intentions
My pride is pessimistic, too many disappointments to mention
“Poor Poor Heart”, Pride says.
The Heart said “What do you mean?”
(Pride) “The world is an awful place, being alone is your destiny”
I sit here and watch them argue,
like a child watches their parents
Admitting this to you,
Truthfully I’m embarrassed
I wear this mask,

Truth is my Heart hates my Pride
